Global spending on mobile games reached $6.6 billion in May, with 3.77 billion downloads

In May, Sensor Tower estimated that global consumer spending on mobile games on App Store and Google Play amounted to $6.6 billion, an increase of 2 per cent. The United States leads by 29.6 per cent, followed by China (iOS only) by 16.8 per cent and Japan by 12 per cent.

Thanks to the continuing high-quality role, the Wave of Battery ranked first in the world in May. On April 30, the update introduced a new, qualified character 5 echo, “Sweet”, and on May 21 the update added Dania and other time-bound role acquisition activities. By combining the release of new roles with the return of human roles, new and old players were provided with a rich game content to facilitate their participation, collection and consumption in May.

Through its large online celebrations, the Oriente is ranked second in global income growth. The campaign introduced the qualification of the S-status role “single” and provided login incentives, pick-up card sets, A-status roles and other benefits. In late May, the Dream Migration Gallery further enhanced user participation by qualifying the S-class role of “Sulture”, the release log-in incentive and time-bound interconnective clothing.

Underground City and Braves Swimming ranked third in income growth, thanks mainly to its second anniversary update. The event combined the anniversary with the new playbook, which defined the appearance of the anniversary, the rare costumes and transfer letters, including the monopolistic Black Dragon offensive, the new offensive weapons, the extended and exhausted use, the doubling of the daily incentive and the additional weekly admissions.

The May income growth map shows that old games can regain momentum through major renewals and fan-centred activities. The Masters of School Park Illustrated has risen to the fifth place with the introduction of a new chapter of the story on the theme of the campus Idol competition, and, in conjunction with time-bound activities, has increased the chances of acquiring high and rare roles. The Dragonball: Legends rose to sixth place with the eighth anniversary event, which introduced a strong new role and game update and another time-bound role at the end of the month.

Global mobile game downloads reached 3.77 billion in May, an increase of 5 per cent in the ring. India ranked first with 703 million downloads (18.7 per cent), followed by the United States (7.4 per cent) and Brazil (6.3 per cent).

In the list of download growth, the arrow-like puzzle game featured prominently, with Arrows Puzzle Espe ranked first in both download growth and absolute downloads. This trend extends to the third-ranking Arrows GO! and the sixth-ranked Arrow Puzzle: Tap Puzzle Game, highlighting the heat of the directional sequencing mechanism. These games have a simple overlooking or click control, flattened vision and easy-to-understand puzzle loops that are well suited to the short-term fragmentation game experience and easily extend to the vast global markets of India, the United States, Brazil, Indonesia and Russia.

In addition to the arrow-like puzzle game, the May downloading growth map shows that mobile game models that are easy to handle and suitable for advertising continue to grow. Mini Challenges: Calm Games highlights the need for a lightweight mini game centre, while Bus Traffic Fever! brings the sorting mechanism to the subject of the vehicle.

New games such as Rebel Glam: Dress Up Game and Forsaken Land: Survival Clash have gained attention through fashion-style and survival-type towers, while RASH: Xtreme has increased the momentum of street racing.

Angry Birds 2 is also back on the growth list, thanks to intensive events in May, including the deep sea treasures pass season, the association with the subways, and the sea demon song adventure, which has successfully attracted players back to the game by combining the season awards, associated attractions and collection hats.
